Virag R Dhulia, an author, screenwriter and a social entrepreneur, has also been a prominent men’s welfare advocate. He has been a life coach and a motivational speaker and has spoken to thousands of victimized and abused men. He has helped them cope up with stressful times and get back into life. Virag’s debut novel “The Chess Without a Queen” is now out and available on Amazon.in, Amazon.com, Kindle, Barnes & Noble, Flipkart, Notion Press Store.
Apart from that, he has also been engaged in creating awareness about the abuse of men and their families through anti-male and gender biased laws like Section 498A (dowry law), Domestic Violence Act etc. He has been instrumental in networking with fellow men’s rights activist both across India and abroad and has played key roles in organizing events to create awareness about abuse of men by the society. A book titled, ‘The Secrets of Manhood‘ authored by Virag has been published. This book is a collection of short articles which focus on issues and problems faced by men and how men are victims of social stereotypes.
He has been to various TV debates on both national and local television, has been quoted numerous times in print and electronic media in raising voice against discrimination against men.
He has also been invited by the Rajya Sabha to voice concerns over “Sexual Harassment Workplace Bill” and based on that, a “misuse” clause has been introduced in the bill due to which many women who filed false complaints of sexual harassment against men have been punished.
Virag has co-authored various research reports on the misuse of Section 498A, rationalization of alimony laws, use of bail proceedings as an extortion tool and has sent them to the relevant departments of Government for necessary action.
Apart from above, Virag is also a screenwriter, novelist and independent short filmmaker. He has done his B.Tech in CS&E from NIT Hamirpur, Himachal Pradesh and has worked in MNCs for about 10 years before being a social entrepreneur and a full time life coach, motivational speaker, an author and a filmmaker.
